"I recently completed a painting on a gate that is 17 x 7 feet. The piece is essentially about a person not telling the complete truth, it's entitled 'Straight From the Humans Mouth'.

Prior to the painting on the gate I installed one of the most ambitious projects to date, a piece entitled Infanticide. Infanticide was 13 x 8 feet and hand painted, but the majority of the piece was a two color paper subtraction. The piece only lasted six hours but it took about a month and a week to construct. I think the worst part of that was me not being able to get a great quality photo besides the studio shots.

The piece was actually based on a women by the name of Amelia Dyer. I was basically just trying to tell a forgotten story."

Fauxreel's latest intervention:
"the idea is based on two different trains of thought...

selling something to people that they don't need...
when i researched this, i discovered that one of the most over reaching markets in this sense was for products created for babies, actually products created for parents who think they need to keep up with the jones'...

the other thing i noticed through doing this research was that people, especially in canada, are having children later in life...
buying a plastic baby might help those who don't have one of their own yet to feel like they belong...
which is what advertising is all about...

selling you something you don't need so you'll feel like you belong...

so why not sell the whole baby to the folks not ready for one... completely ridiculous, perhaps slightly offensive, absolutely fun. "
