Usually Banksy's work on the street has a tough life: it's either prized off by profiteers (later sold or exhibited in
lame exhibitions),
vandalized, or
put behind plastic to protect its value. Occasionally a Banksy
survives for a decent length of time in reasonable condition.
Rarely though is a Banksy just ignored, as the 'girl with watering can' is. It seems fitting that of all the places a Banksy might be ignored, Hollywood is the place, where churning through former stars is business as usual.
