Todd Lown's design for this wall won a community vote organized by the 46th Street Mural Project; he then painted it with at-risk young people via the awesome ArtWorks organization. The City's Department of Neighborhoods provided a grant for about half the cost.
It's so nice to see a city embrace this kind of thing instead of paying for an endless cycle of buffing graffiti.

This series reminds me of Fauxreel's 'Face of the City' work, where the wall becomes part of the image. It's great.
