the 'We Are Antennas' piece, which was painted in the center of the village, with an empty speech bubble left for the residents to use as a bulletin board for messages, notes, secrets and hopes.

The opening of Roa's LA solo show did not disappoint; a big warehouse space was filled with large-scale peaceful animals in various states of slumber or decay. A huge fox lying over a pile of mice is the central mural, and several lenticular screens broke up the space. There's a lot more work in the show than included in this post - it's definitely worth seeing in person (details here - it only runs through November 24th), or there are some more images on flickr.
